My husband and I took a Concealed Weapon Course, led by Franklin Dickinson at our church along with a group of others including single women and married couples. While we have a couple of guns in our home, I’ve never felt secure or prepared to use one. I must tell say that not only did I learn a great deal about the safe handling of a gun, I also learned how to use a gun and most importantly, WHY this is important. We heard actual 9-1-1 calls making us much more aware of why it’s important to know how and when to use a weapon. We learned about the safe use and handling of weapons. We discussed some of the laws applicable to our state. And we were encouraged to secure a concealed weapon license. Since then I’ve gone to several shooting ranges and have begun to feel much more secure in the use of our gun(s). Not only do I appreciate this training opportunity, I highly recommend it especially to other women.

I have witnessed Franklin Dickinson’s instructional technique and shooting skill many times and have always been impressed with the way he coaches and encourages students. He is extremely safety conscious, very practical, and a great shot. As a former U. S. Marine expert in pistol and rifle and a former FBI S.W.A.T. team member, I am very particular about weapons safety and weapons training, especially when it comes to my children. Franklin has been outstanding in helping my 17 and 23 year old boys learn basic marksmanship and practical shooting techniques and I highly recommend him as a firearms instructor.

My wife and I recently attended a concealed weapons class which was very professionally conducted by Mr. Franklin Dickinson. Mr. Dickinson proved to be an expert on all facets of small arms and relevant safety procedures required for their effective use. This class was extremely well organized and professionally delivered. Several hand-outs were provided which expanded on the subject matter and, Mr. Dickinson encouraged class participation during the lectures. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the proper use of concealed weapons was obvious from start to finish.
